We ordered beef, beef tongue, spicy beef, and some veggie skewers — all perfectly seasoned with that addictive spicy kick. For appetizers, we had the fried seasoned chicken skin (so good), potato salad, and Korean cold noodles. Everything was flavorful and hit the spot. One tip: definitely check in on Yelp ahead of time or you’ll be waiting over an hour. Other than that, I absolutely love this place and will keep coming back for my skewer fix!

I LOVE this restaurant, I’ve been here more than a few times and will be back again. The skewers here are delicious, the coals give an amazing charred flavor to the meat. My favorites are the marinated lamb, scallop, and chicken cartilage skewers. The table peanuts are so good too! Service is great, they will help out with your skewers when they can, and are quick to get you what you need. Not much more to say than to try it for yourself and hope you have a good time too.

First time trying this place. Food was good. Came out quickly. Love the set up. How you can cook your own skewers. My favorite dish was probably the spicy crispy chicken skin. The Dan Dan noodles were a bit starchy for me, I think the noodles were cooked a bit too long so they all stuck together and very starchy. But the flavor was good. The meat was tender...Didn't exactly like the powder dipping sauce. But the experience was nice overall

After visiting Chubby Skewer last month, I wanted to revisit GUI to compare the two. While I enjoyed Chubby’s self-service setup, I still think GUI takes the win, even with the slightly higher price point. GUI’s menu is extensive, and the portions for each skewer are noticeably larger. They also use coal for cooking by default instead of gas, which enhances the flavor. Their grilling setup includes an auto-rotating mechanism that ensures the meat cooks evenly—a big plus. Keep in mind that each skewer takes at least 5 minutes to cook (sometimes longer), so this isn’t a place for a quick meal. The wait time reflects this too; we waited about 40 minutes for our table. The vibe at GUI is lit—music videos playing loudly on the TV screens really set the mood. However, we wished the skewers had arrived before the appetizers so we could start grilling sooner. Instead, we finished all the appetizers and then had to wait for the skewers to cook. Overall, despite the wait and higher cost, GUI delivers on quality and atmosphere, making it my top pick for Chinese skewers.

It is definitely high tension vibes. I can feel younger!!! People are extremely happy and enjoy their time. There are many big screens and big tables, so any of the groups can eat together. They also have big rooms. Food is also great. Service is super fast!! The servers are very speedy. I drank and enjoyed my time.. I definitely will visit again !!

I’m a big fan of skewers, and this place truly stands out among all the skewer spots I’ve visited. One of the unique experiences here is grilling the fresh meat skewers yourself, which allows you to fully appreciate the juiciness and heartiness of each bite. Their dan dan noodles are a must-try and come highly recommended.

For Chinese skewers they're very good, especially the seasoned ones. Pricing is super reasonable, skewer cuts are good enough quality, and they use tons of real charcoal. Just remember to waitlist before you arrive, otherwise it can be a wait.
